Service Projects Preemie Workshop Hosted by Diane Kent Click on any picture for a larger image. January 2007 Diane welcomed us into her sewing room and demonstrated tiny bishops made with no seams (AS&E #48). Rose Marie, Iris, and Barbara watch intently. Note the lights over every machine. Sandra and JoAnn trace off patterns. Diane also has a serger set up with no needles or thread that she uses exclusively for speedy trimming. Diane's husband Ron does all her pleating. Next time we are going to bring our husbands so they can get a lesson! Ron uses orange thread on all but the holding rows which are green. Barbara, Iris, Lynda, Rose Marie, Margie, & Sandra watch Ron, altho Iris obviously has her doubts. Dream storage for lace and trims. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the "dumpster diving" that we did - probably because I was too busy participating.
